The two join the cast of the movie "Plume" the latest thriller, written and directed by Mike Gan along with cast members Josh Hutcherson, Suki Waterhouse, and Tilda Cobham-Hervey.
The crew will be filming in the Poughkeepsie and Lagrangeville areas over the next month or two, said the Hudson Valley Film Commission said.
According to advanced PR, the film follows a lonely, unstable gas station attendant tired of being overshadowed by her more outgoing co-worker when the gas station is robbed by a desperate man in need of quick cash, said Deadline.
Shum will play Officer Liu, a wholesome local police officer while Fernandez plays Perry, a local boy who finds himself unwittingly enmeshed in dangerous games.
The Commission said two other movies are on tap to film in the area. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
